MUNICH, Germany, May 15, 2026 – The Nemetschek Group is developing Graphisoft-led AI-assisted design initiatives in AEC projects. The initiatives target broken handovers, misaligned project data, and design delays by synchronizing models, documents, issues, and decisions in a browser-based workspace.
The Graphisoft-led initiatives bring key parts of Nemetschek’s Design Intelligence Strategy into a cloud-native design system for its Design segment. The system will support workflows from feasibility studies to detailed BIM and lifecycle collaboration, while using project data to support decision-making and building performance analysis.
“The new collaboration and AI-assisted design initiatives represent a key milestone in delivering greater value to our customers through advanced AI-driven capabilities in the Design segment,” said Sunil Pandita, chief division officer planning & design at the Nemetschek Group. “Designed with scalability for the Nemetschek design solutions in mind, this next-generation platform is translating AI into practical value for architects, engineers, and planners.”
The Nemetschek Group-level initiative is being developed as an open collaboration layer for Nemetschek design products. It will support open standards and connect project information across the broader Nemetschek portfolio, reducing the gaps that can lead to cost overruns and coordination errors.
The browser-based environment will support architects, engineers, builders, owners, and operators in multidisciplinary project work. Nemetschek plans early access in 2026, giving teams a shared project record for models, documents, issues, and decisions. The solution plans to launch early access in October, with a waitlist available now.
Nemetschek is also developing a web-based design intelligence system that uses AI and integrated simulations. The web-based system will let users test hundreds of massing, layout, and performance scenarios in seconds, keep stakeholders aligned in a shared workspace, and work without BIM expertise. Starting with Graphisoft, the technologies will roll out across additional Nemetschek Design brands over time.
