BERLIN, Germany, June 30, 2026 – Nomerra raised $2 million to build AI agents for private-market operations, starting with fund accounting, treasury and transfer agency work. The company is developing software for asset servicers and managers that process fund data through documents, spreadsheets and separate systems. The company’s first funding round was led by 14Peaks Capital, with participation from Redstone Fintech and senior individuals from firms including KKR and Intapp.

Nomerra cites repeated manual data entry, limited standardization and separate record-keeping systems as operating problems. The company also points to added workload from new investor channels, frequent reporting, regulation, semi-liquid structures, evergreen funds and new asset classes.

According to Nomerra, private markets are expected to grow from $13 trillion to more than $30 trillion in the next few years. The number of qualified accountants has decreased by a third over the past decade.

Nomerra connects to systems already used by firms, including ERPs, banking platforms, email and document storage. The Nomerra software pulls information from existing systems into a single context layer, where its AI agents read documents, extract data, compare sources and follow each firm’s operating procedures.

Users can assign work to Nomerra agents through existing tools or set up background agents that run continuously. The system presents completed work in review interfaces with an audit trail showing what was done, why it was done and which data sources were used.

“Think of how telephone operators used to connect one caller to another by plugging cables into a switchboard,” said Johannes Gebendorfer, co-founder and CEO of Nomerra. “Today, the idea that humans once routed every phone call manually seems absurd. Private market operations are at the same turning point. In a few years, people will look back and wonder how any of this was ever done by hand.”

Nomerra’s workflow is designed to move staff from preparing deliverables to reviewing agent-generated output. Later versions will support supervisory review, with teams coordinating multiple agents that complete deliverables.

“This work demands trust, context, and the ability to follow each firm’s own procedures,” said Edoardo Ermotti, Founding General Partner of 14Peaks Capital. “Generic AI tools can only go so far in an environment this complex; Nomerra was built from the ground up for the depth private markets require. Johannes and Jakob lived this problem before they set out to solve it, and that vertical focus is already proving to be a distribution edge. We’re thrilled to put our network and experience behind them, to keep building a product this specialized and to get it into the market at scale.”

Nomerra will use the funding to expand its engineering team and support enterprise asset servicers and managers in Europe and the United States.
