LONDON, UK, Sep 11, 2026 – Nscale has appointed Fidji Simo, former OpenAI CEO of AGI Deployment, to its board of directors. Simo continues to advise OpenAI and joins a board that added Sheryl Sandberg, Susan Decker and Nick Clegg earlier this year.

Fidji joins a board we’ve built deliberately, with the experience of scaling platforms to the largest in the world, and the independence, financial rigor and operating depth to which companies at this scale are held.”

Before OpenAI, Simo served as CEO and chair of Instacart, where she led the company to profitability and through its 2023 public listing.
Simo has more than 20 years of experience across social media, commerce and AI. She previously spent a decade at Meta, serving as head of the Facebook App and overseeing News Feed, Video, Groups, Marketplace and Ads. She earlier led Meta’s mobile advertising products She began her career at eBay. Fidji currently serves on the board of directors of Shopify.
