HUNTSVILLE, AL, May 5, 2026 – Octave acquired VXG Inc. to add cloud-native video management software to its physical security portfolio. The deal brings VXG’s AI-powered video tools into Octave’s roadmap for cloud, edge and on-premises security deployments. VXG’s software is used for monitoring, alerts, investigations, secure access and evidence-sharing workflows.
VXG’s platform is used by corporate campuses, finance, retail, education, health care and public safety organizations to manage small to midsize security installations. Its AI-powered engine combines computer vision analytics and generative AI capabilities for monitoring, alerts and investigations. The software also supports secure access and evidence-sharing workflows.
The VXG platform supports camera models and is built for service providers that deliver Video Surveillance-as-a-Service (VSaaS). The acquisition follows a partnership that began in June 2025, when Hexagon introduced a cloud-based video management system built on VXG’s offering.
“VXG’s cloud-based video management system gives Octave an immediate advantage and supports our cloud roadmap,” said Octave CEO Mattias Stenberg. “It’s AI-driven design aligns with our vision of intelligence at scale. The acquisition expands our hybrid deployment options – cloud, edge and on-premises – positioning Octave to lead the shift to cloud-first solutions.”
The VXG leadership team, led by CEO Yaro Lisitsyn, will remain with the company. The team will continue development and maintain continuity for customers and partners.
