OPmobility Names Abdul Khaliq as EVP for Innovation and Software

A new executive will lead the innovation roadmap, oversee software development work, and manage partnerships to support operational change and guide technology planning for future mobility systems

PARIS, France, Dec 8, 2025 – OPmobility has appointed Abdul Khaliq as executive vice president for innovation and software and as a member of the group’s executive committee. Khaliq, a German citizen, has more than 20 years of experience advising automotive and technology companies on operational and digital transition.

In his new role, Abdul Khaliq will lead OPmobility’s innovation roadmap and align it with the group’s objectives. He will track market and technology shifts to shape future development. He will also oversee OP’nSoft, the company’s software unit, and manage partnerships with research institutes, startups, and technology firms.

Abdul Khaliq previously held senior roles at Alpine Electronics, ADIT, and Continental, where he managed projects for global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Since 2019, he has worked at Hyundai Mobis, where he led the transition toward software-defined vehicles.
