PARIS, France, Oct 20, 2026 – OPmobility has inaugurated its fourth manufacturing plant in Morocco, a facility in Kenitra that will produce exterior body parts. The company expects the plant to create more than 100 jobs.

The facility features automated manufacturing, handling and storage technologies. It is located in the Atlantic Free Zone near Kenitra plant, established in 2018, with access to customers, suppliers and logistics providers.

OPmobility’s Morocco workforce will exceed 1,400 employees, including the jobs at the new plant. The additional positions will bring its Kenitra workforce to 510 employees. The company has operated in Morocco since 2013 and now has two manufacturing facilities in Kenitra and two in Tangier. Its Moroccan operations supply energy storage systems, lighting systems and exterior body parts to automotive manufacturers.

Laurent Burelle, chairman of OPmobility’s board of directors, attended the inauguration alongside other board members and CEO Félicie Burelle.

Félicie Burelle, chief executive officer of OPmobility said: “Since establishing our activities in Morocco, we have developed strong industrial expertise and built highly qualified and committed local teams. With industrial operations in both Tangier and Kenitra, OPmobility has built a complementary manufacturing footprint that contributes to the development of Morocco’s automotive sector while supporting customer programs for local and international markets. This is in line with our diversification strategy in geographies, customers, and technologies for all types of mobility.”

According to OPmobility, the new plant will expand production capacity to meet customer demand and support local expertise in manufacturing, maintenance, logistics and quality.
