PhysicsX has appointed Dael Williamson as chief technology and platform officer (CTPO). He will work with PhysicsX’s product leadership on software development and the organization behind its physics AI software.
Williamson previously held senior technology leadership roles at Accenture’s Microsoft Business Group and Avanade. Trained as an engineer and scientist, Williamson began his career in full-stack engineering and data science. He has published research in protein molecular modeling, and his technical interests include open source, interoperability and complex systems.
Dael Williamson, CTPO of PhysicsX said: “What drew me to PhysicsX is the scale of the mission, and the timing. AI is beginning to change how we create the physical world, and PhysicsX has the technology, team, and ambition to push that shift much further. We have an opportunity to build an entirely new class of engineering software, and ultimately give engineers capabilities that simply haven’t existed before. I’m incredibly excited to get started.”
Jacomo Corbo, CEO & co-founder of PhysicsX added: “We started PhysicsX because we believe AI can fundamentally reshape engineering and manufacturing. We’re building a new engineering platform to enable that transformation across industrials. Doing that means building at extraordinary speed and scale. Dael is a builder – he’s built AI products, scaled platforms, and worked deeply with customers on hard technology problems. I’m incredibly excited to have him with us for what comes next.”
