CASABLANCA, Morocco, Apr 23, 2026 – Pratt & Whitney Canada has brought PT6 engine component production to Morocco with a new 130,000-square-foot facility in Nouaceur’s Midparc Industrial Zone, adding machining capacity and targeting about 200 jobs by 2030.

The facility will produce static and structural machined parts for aircraft engines, including the PT6 engine family. These components support engine structures and feed into assembly and maintenance programs across global fleets.

“This site is a strategic extension of our global production network and demonstrates our commitment to building resilient supply chains worldwide that will enable us to increase production for our customers,” said Maria Della Posta, president, Pratt & Whitney Canada. “Through close collaboration with local organizations, we’re developing the next generation of aerospace professionals, investing in the communities in which we operate and helping reinforce Morocco’s position as a leader in the aerospace industry.”

Construction began in 2024, and the Morocco facility has reached operational readiness with workforce recruitment, technical training, and installation of advanced machining equipment. The facility follows lean manufacturing principles and uses digital systems to manage production, maintain quality, and control output.

The machining setup is designed for precision work, with monitoring and control systems to maintain dimensional accuracy and repeatability. Digital tools support production tracking, process consistency, and batch-level quality verification.

RTX also operates in Morocco through Collins Aerospace, which has manufactured cockpit systems and flight controls since 2012. Between the two sites, RTX employs approximately 250 workers in Morocco.
