MEYREUIL, France, Feb 18, 2026 – Presto Engineering has appointed Charles Hosono as chief executive officer. He succeeds Cédric Mayor, who is stepping down after nearly 16 years. The change marks a leadership shift at Presto Engineering following Mayor’s tenure.

Charles Hosono brings more than 30 years of semiconductor industry experience to Presto Engineering. He began his career as a radio frequency (RF) integrated circuit design engineer and later held sales and marketing leadership roles at NXP and Infineon Technologies. His background spans engineering and executive leadership across global semiconductor operations.

At Linxens, Hosono served as global vice president of sales and marketing and president of the Asia-Pacific region. He supported leveraged buyout operations while leading regional business activities. Hosono spent nearly 15 years in Singapore and Shanghai, gaining exposure to global semiconductor market dynamics.

“I am truly proud of everything we have achieved alongside the Presto teams over the last 16 years” stated Cédric Mayor regarding the transition. “I am handing over the reins to Charles today to dedicate myself to new projects, with the certainty that Presto is in excellent hands for its next phase of development.”

“I thank Cédric for his accomplishments and commitment to Presto. Charles joins us today with the ideal profile to lead this new growth phase,” explained Thierry Coloigner, co-CEO of Dentressangle. “Our ambitions for Presto are high: in a world where semiconductors are central to all strategic challenges, we are determined to make Presto the undisputed ‘one-stop shop’ for ASICs.”

Presto appointed Charles Hosono after acquiring GF Micro. The integration expands Presto Engineering’s work with OEMs across ASIC design and product delivery. The company supports customers in healthcare, industrial, robotics, aerospace, and communications markets.

“Cédric and the Presto team have done remarkable work. Presto possesses unique expertise and innovation capacity, illustrated by its participation in a photonics project with Scintil, which are rare assets in the market,” declared Charles Hosono. “Our goal is clear: to combine design agility and industrial excellence to make Presto the preferred partner for OEMs.”

With Charles Hosono as CEO, Presto is expanding its role across the ASIC value chain in Europe. The company plans to cover design, industrialization, production, and finished chip test programs. Hosono will lead organic and external growth initiatives.
