CARPINTERIA, CA, July 30, 2026 – Procore Technologies will acquire DroneDeploy for approximately $845 million in cash, giving its construction management platform a reality capture layer that spans drones, ground robots, and fixed, mobile, and wearable cameras. Under the agreement, DroneDeploy’s 3D ground and aerial imaging will feed into Procore AI to convert jobsite imagery into automated observations and actions.
Once integrated, the combined system would let cameras, drones, and robots survey construction sites on a recurring schedule, documenting observations and flagging issues without manual inspections. Procore cited the construction industry’s labor shortage, arguing that automating these workflows can relieve overburdened field teams.
The acquisition combines two datasets. Over the past year, Procore processed nearly 400 million photos, more than 126 million drawings, and over 10 million RFIs, submittals, and inspections. DroneDeploy’s visual record covers approximately 20 trillion square feet of built-world imagery, tens of millions of user-generated annotations, and more than 100,000 labeled safety issues.
