BOSTON, MA, Aug 6, 2026 – PTC released Codebeamer 3.3, Codebeamer AI 1.2 and Pure Variants 7.3, adding functions that move approved engineering changes across related product configurations, search application lifecycle management (ALM) data by meaning and convert configured variants into linked requirements working sets.
“Our customers are managing more product variants and configurations than ever, and every hour spent untangling a merge or hunting for a requirement is time not spent building better products,” said Enrique Krajmalnik, general manager of ALM at PTC. “These releases provide a way to reuse changes across configurations and a smarter way to find what they need, so they can manage complexity with confidence, not just keep up with it.”
The releases include the following functions:
- Codebeamer 3.3 adds Delta Merge, which carries an approved change across related product variants instead of requiring engineers to reapply it manually. It also adds a Streams Tab for tracking variant lines and role-based Stream Management Permissions that control who can approve changes. The release includes deeper integrations with PTC’s Windchill PLM platform and the digital thread.
- Codebeamer AI 1.2 adds an AI Search Assistant that uses semantic search to interpret the meaning and intent behind a query rather than matching search text alone. The release also includes an Indexing Service that gives regulated-industry users control over how and where their data is processed.
- Pure Variants 7.3 adds Stream Transformation, which converts a product variant into a working set (a linked copy of Codebeamer tied to that variant). Requirements update to reflect the variant’s features instead of being copied and adjusted manually.
The release expands PTC’s Intelligent Product Lifecycle portfolio, combining Codebeamer, Pure Variants and related software to manage product data, requirements, variants and lifecycle processes across engineering and business systems. The software also supports AI-based engineering workflows.
