MUNICH, Germany, Apr 24, 2026 – PTC will show how Bobcat is using its Intelligent Product Lifecycle to redesign a compact excavator at Hannover Messe 2026, with a workflow that connects requirements, design, manufacturing, and service through a centralized product data foundation. The demo will track how product data moves across Creo, Windchill, Codebeamer AI, Asset 360, and ServiceMax AI as Bobcat works through engineering changes, design optimization, and service feedback in a single process.

Bobcat has worked with PTC for more than 30 years and uses PTC tools across its operations. Creo CAD solution serves as its global engineering design foundation, while Windchill PLM connects product data, change management, and lifecycle processes across engineering, manufacturing and service. Bobcat also uses Arbortext in Windchill to create and manage BOM-linked technical publications. Servigistics supports service parts planning and pricing across its global aftermarket operations.

“At Bobcat, innovation has always been driven by our commitment to empowering people to accomplish more,” said Scott McDonald, global solutions director – engineering at Bobcat. “By leveraging PTC’s solutions to connect data across the entire product lifecycle, we are strengthening collaboration between our teams, reducing complexity, and accelerating how we build and bring the most reliable compact equipment to market.”

At Hannover Messe 2026, the demo will show how Bobcat can connect requirements, design, manufacturing and service in an AI-enabled workflow during a compact excavator redesign. PTC Asset 360 will provide performance insights that point to improvement opportunities, while an engineering change is managed in Windchill. Redesign requirements are defined in Codebeamer AI. The optimized design is created with Creo generative design capabilities, reviewed through the Windchill and NVIDIA Omniverse integration, and simplified with Windchill AI Parts Rationalization. ServiceMax AI captures service insights that feed into engineering and service optimization.

“For over three decades, PTC has worked closely with Bobcat to help them navigate the growing complexity of designing, building, and supporting industrial equipment,” said Neil Barua, president and CEO, PTC. “At Hannover Messe 2026, we’re showing what’s possible when requirements, design, manufacturing, and service are connected through a shared data foundation, to help Bobcat manage change more easily and bring great products to market faster.”

PTC will also display its cloud-native products to show how a SaaS-based approach connects teams, data and decisions in product development. Onshape will feature a parts feeding machine to show collaboration among teams. Arena will feature ProGlove’s portable barcode scanner, showing how the startup manages hardware development and manufacturing through integrated approval and revision control.
