
BOSTON, MA, June 12, 2026 – PTC has released the Creo AI Assistant to its CAD environment, along with updates to model-based product development, simulation-driven design, and manufacturing workflows in Creo 13 and Creo+ 13.3.
Bringing AI Into the Design Environment
The Creo AI Assistant runs inside the Creo design environment and uses a chat interface to provide workflow guidance based on Creo best practices. Engineers can use it to find information related to design tasks without leaving CAD or separately searching documentation.
With Creo AI Assistant, the release also includes a beta capability that reads from the 3D model and extracts information intended to help engineers identify design issues, validate compliance, and surface design data.

Creo 13 and Creo+ 13.3 include updates across product design workflows:
- User Productivity: Expanded feature presets and updates to surfacing, sketcher, sheet metal, welding, and multi-body design capabilities.
- Faster Assembly Management: Assembly loading from Windchill over a wide-area network is up to 70% faster, improving performance for remote users working with CAD assemblies.
- Model-Based Definition: 3D PDF export and improved annotation tools support sharing of design intent.
- Composite Design & Manufacturing: Copy-paste capabilities allow reuse of composite design structure and intent. New composite design and manufacturing tools include transition calculations up to 60x faster for teams working with high-performance materials from concept through production.
- Simulation-Driven Design: Expanded simulation coverage across assemblies and electronics scenarios helps engineers identify and address issues in the digital model.
- Generative Design: Design optimization in the assembly context, expanded multiphysics scenarios, and additional constraint cases support generative design workflows.
- Advanced Manufacturing: Updates include 5-axis toolpath options, toolpath setup workflows, and mold design options for managing part quality and production cycle times.
- Design for Electrification: Enhanced workflows expand harness assembly design and cable routing for collaboration between electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
