Understanding SMETA and Sedex
Sedex helps organizations track and share data tied to responsible business practices, including labor standards, health and safety, environmental practices and business ethics. SMETA is Sedex’s standard audit method and uses a structured, on-site assessment. The audit reviews working conditions, risk controls, and governance practices in daily factory operations.
Relevance to Pudu Robotics’ Global Operations
Pudu’s Jianhu factory builds service robots shipped worldwide into 10 industries, including restaurants, hotels, health care facilities and public-space deployments.
Pudu Robotics said the site completed the SMETA audit and is a registered Sedex member. The company said the audit reviews labor standards, health and safety, environmental practices and business ethics.
