SAN DIEGO, CA, Aug 24, 2026 – Qualcomm has appointed Sergio Buniac as executive vice president and group general manager of Mobile, Compute and Personal AI at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., effective Sep 2, 2026. Buniac will oversee the smartphone, personal computing, smart wearables and XR businesses, including AI devices. He will report to Cristiano Amon, president and chief executive officer of Qualcomm Inc.

Buniac joins Qualcomm from Motorola after more than three decades in regional and worldwide leadership roles across strategy, product, sales, marketing, operations and supply chain. He had been president of Motorola Devices since 2018.
