PLANO, TX, May 26, 2026 – Siemens is supporting Quanta Computer in using Siemens Xcelerator software to connect product design, manufacturing planning and factory execution across its global operations. Quanta is working to reduce new product introduction timelines by 20% to 25% while linking its R&D centers and distributed manufacturing network through common engineering and production data.
The deployment comes as Quanta manages product complexity and global competition across electronics and automotive programs. The software environment connects product design with manufacturing, helping teams move decisions earlier in the development cycle and make factory scaling predictable.
“In a fast-evolving market, optimizing our global operational footprint is critical. Siemens has the toolset that will allow us to achieve our ambitious goals,” said Terrisa Chung, vice president, Quanta Computer. “Siemens brings deep expertise in high-tech electronics and a comprehensive software portfolio that supports our key objectives – from reducing commissioning time to improving data accuracy and cross-site collaboration.”
“Quanta Computer’s adoption of Siemens Xcelerator underscores the value of a connected digital thread in bringing together complex engineering and manufacturing data,” said Bas Kuper, senior vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “By enabling greater transparency, traceability and collaboration, we are helping Quanta scale global operations with increased agility and precision.”

To support the deployment, Quanta Computer is adopting Siemens software across several functions:
- Application and product lifecycle management: Quanta will use Siemens Polarion for software application lifecycle management (ALM) and Teamcenter for product lifecycle management (PLM). The tools will trace customer requirements and Request for Quotations (RFQs) through MCAD/ECAD design data, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
- Manufacturing process management: Quanta will use Teamcenter Manufacturing to manage its Bill of Process (BOP). The software will create a link between engineering work and production planning.
- Production validation and optimization: Quanta will use Siemens Process Simulate to test and refine manufacturing processes before shop-floor execution. The software will support digital process validation, reduce trial-and-error during production and maintain a digital thread from design through production and execution.
- Quality management: Quanta will use Siemens’ Teamcenter Quality to support IATF 16949 compliance. Quanta has more than 150 devices in production for EV and autonomous driving customers since 2015, citing its work in automotive-scale delivery and quality requirements.
