GILCHING, Germany, Feb 6, 2026 – Quantum Systems has acquired Hacker Motor, keeping all employees and existing sites. The buy brings a key VTOL component closer to home, since Hacker Motor technology is integrated into Quantum Systems platforms. The motors also support copter-style flight tied to Quantum Frontline Industries, the joint venture between Quantum Systems with Ukrainian drone manufacturer Frontline Robotics. Quantum Systems says the deal moves critical unmanned systems capabilities in-house and strengthens its European supply chain.
Florian Seibel, co-CEO & founder, Quantum Systems said: “The acquisition strengthens our vertical integration and gives us direct control over a critical component of our systems, from development through to integration,” said Florian Seibel, founder and co-CEO of Quantum Systems. “For us as a manufacturer, this reduces complexity and dependency in the supply chain and enables us to deliver consistent performance and quality our customers can rely on when it matters.”
Jörg Trommer, CEO, Hacker Motor added: “Together with Quantum Systems at our side, we are opening a new and ambitious chapter in the history of Hacker Motor,” said Joerg Trommer, CEO of Hacker Motor GmbH. “Our roots lie in RC model aviation – a field where precision, efficiency, and a passion for electric propulsion have shaped our work for decades. This expertise forms the technological foundation for today’s advanced UAV applications. With the support and scale of Quantum Systems, we now have the opportunity to deliberately build on this strength and develop Hacker Motor into a global powerhouse for electric UAV propulsion systems. At the same time, it is very important to me that we continue to actively develop and serve other industrial applications as well as the RC model aviation segment. The close transfer of technology between model aviation and professional unmanned systems has always been a key success factor – and it will remain so in the future.”
