Quantum Systems, Sysgration Partner to Build UAS in Taiwan

by | Sep 15, 2025

The partnership will establish UAS production in Taiwan, focusing on local manufacturing, training, and sustainment to improve delivery times and strengthen defense supply chains across the Asia-Pacific region.
Partnership anchors Quantum Systems’ Asia-Pacific strategy of localized manufacturing, in-region support, and coalition interoperability

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Sep 15, 2025 – Quantum Systems has partnered with Sysgration to localize assembly, integration and sustainment in Taiwan, strengthening its Asia-Pacific footprint. Under the agreement, Sysgration will build and integrate for Twister, Vector AI and Reliant uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) under shared quality processes and supply chains, while also handling maintenance, repairs and operator training to ensure support services.

“Deterrence depends on speed, sovereignty, and resilience,” said Dave Sharpin, chief executive officer of Quantum-Systems. “By investing in Taiwan with a trusted local partner, we’re providing critical UAS technology, shortening lead times, and ensuring frontline forces can field and sustain AI-enabled robotic systems at the pace of operations amid escalating cross-Strait tensions. This is consistent with the overall Quantum Systems strategy of acting globally and responding locally.”

The partnership aligns with Quantum Systems’ plan to expand local manufacturing, support and coalition interoperability in the Asia-Pacific region. The Taiwan site will complement its Australia operations and provide fielding, training, sustainment and co-development with Taiwanese primes and government agencies.

“Sysgration is proud to partner with Quantum Systems to bring sovereign, in-country UAS production to Taiwan,” said Albert Hsing, automotive & mobile division general manager of Sysgration. “Our manufacturing heritage, rigorous quality systems, and secure facilities are built for critical defense applications. Together, we will deliver and sustain the ISR platforms Taiwan and regional partners rely on. Sysgration is also honored to serve as Quantum Systems’ exclusive partner in Taiwan.”

Sysgration will display Quantum Systems’ UAS at Booth I0201 during the 2025 Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE), scheduled between Sep 18 to Sep 20, 2025. Quantum Systems will exhibit at Booth I1208. Teams from both companies will discuss the Family of Systems, production plans in Taiwan, sustainment and training options, and collaboration opportunities with government and investors.
