AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Sep 15, 2026 – Quortex has integrated its Edge Content Delivery Network (CDN) control plane with NetActuate’s network, allowing broadcasters and streaming providers to deploy video caching across 45 global locations. Quortex Edge, PowerVu and vDCM are also integrated with NetActuate’s Media Substrate for IP-based video distribution.
IP Distribution for C-Band Transition
Both the companies are applying the integration to broadcast workflows moving from satellite C-band distribution to IP networks. Quortex provides edge processing and CDN control, while NetActuate supplies network, compute and transport infrastructure.
NetActuate’s C-band Transition Acceleration service provides engineered routing, redundancy and distribution transport. It covers rooftop and edge-adjacent deployment coordination, backhaul and anycast-based traffic steering for failover.
The architecture supports distribution methods including automatic repeat request, or ARQ, transport and edge CDN delivery. Broadcasters can distribute video over IP without relying on satellite spectrum or a public CDN.

Elastic CDN Capacity for Streaming
For streaming workloads, Quortex Edge runs on NetActuate’s compute infrastructure and adds CDN capacity through elastic caching. Capacity can be deployed within minutes for live events and in time of high traffic.
The private CDN adjusts caching resources according to demand, reducing idle infrastructure when traffic drops. Quortex Edge lets content owners choose where CDN capacity runs across NetActuate’s network. PowerVu and vDCM extend the integration to broadcast distribution and video processing workflows.
