
Raise Robotics has mounted its Autonomous Mobile Fabricator (AMF) on a Genie boom lift to perform robotic work at heights of about 65 feet. The configuration’s first planned applications are autonomous coating and surface maintenance on large structures.
Raise Robotics and Genie demonstrated the integrated system to customers and partners in July’26 after six months of collaboration. The AMF combines a robotic arm, computing hardware and a universal tool interface in a transferable workcell. It operates on an automated guided vehicle (AGV) for layout marking and concrete drilling.
The same workcell can move between an AGV, a scissor lift and a boom lift, adapting its mobility, tooling and reach to different tasks. The boom configuration reaches approximately six stories and extends work to vertical and overhead surfaces. Users include fabricators, industrial contractors and businesses working beyond the reach of fixed robotic cells.
Raise Robotics’ AMF mounted on the Genie boom lift is intended to perform elevated tasks without a worker on the platform. We are building one workcell that changes how it moves. The alternative is to keep sending the person.”
