BARI, Italy, Aug 31, 2026 – Roboze signed a three-year research agreement with the Department of Enterprise Engineering “Mario Lucertini” at Tor Vergata University of Rome to develop PEEK-based materials for 3D printing.

The collaboration covers thermoplastic matrices and the development of 3D printing filaments for components used in aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and defense.

Planned activities include composite material development, experimental work, and workshops, internships, degree theses, and joint PhD programs. Both Roboze and Tor Vergata University will also consider establishing a joint laboratory or a dedicated spin-off.

“This agreement represents a strategic step in Roboze’s journey toward continuous innovation in high-performance materials. Collaborating with a department of excellence such as the Department of Enterprise Engineering at Tor Vergata University of Rome will enable us to accelerate the development of new PEEK-based materials, strengthening the connection between scientific research and real-world industrial applications.” said Simone Cuscito, Chief R&D and Product Officer at Roboze.

“The collaboration with Roboze represents a tangible opportunity to strengthen the dialogue between academic research and industry, leveraging scientific expertise in advanced materials and their applications in additive manufacturing. Bringing together research on high-performance polymers and industrial technologies means creating genuine innovation that can be transferred to strategic engineering sectors,” said Professor Francesca Nanni of Tor Vergata University of Rome.
