IRVINE, CA, Sep 4, 2026 – Roland DG has introduced the TrueVis AG-640, a 64-inch latex printer with integrated contour cutting. The company is the first latex printer to include cutting functionality, allowing print/cut jobs to run on a single device.
The TrueVis AG-640 uses TA-2 water-based latex inks and the latest piezo printheads, which deliver high-precision dot control and consistent output. The ink set covers CMYK plus Orange and Red to broaden the color gamut, and includes White ink for transparent, colored, and specialty substrates. An integrated optimizer supports ink placement and durable output on common and specialty media.
Roland DG says the integrated cutter maintains the cut accuracy of its eco-solvent and UV platforms. Running print and cut on one machine lowers equipment requirements, frees floor space, and reduces operator handling.
The TrueVis AG-640 is aimed at print service providers, sign makers, and graphics professionals. Applications include wraps, wallcoverings, banners, posters, stickers, labels, decals, vehicle graphics, window displays, exhibition and event visuals, and retail interiors. Roland DG also lists graphics for corporate environments, hospitality businesses, schools, and healthcare settings.
The instant-dry latex ink allows immediate finishing without outgassing, shortening turnaround times. It forms a thin, media-like layer that preserves the natural appearance and surface characteristics of the substrate.
The AG-640 runs VersaWorks 7 RIP software with job-saving and media-handling functions that reduce setup time and material waste. The water-based inks are low odor, which suits environments such as hospitals and public facilities. Roland DG is offering the printer as an upgrade path for existing latex users, citing competitive running costs.
