IRVINE, CA, Apr 9, 2026 – Roland DGA is launching the TrueVis VG4 Series, a new line of eco-solvent print and cut devices for sign makers and print service providers. The release comes as print shops look for consistent output and easier day-to-day operation. It also aligns with Roland DG’s refreshed global brand identity and message, “Make Your Mark.”
Available in 54-inch (VG4-540) and 64-inch (VG4-640) models, the TrueVis VG4 Series combines image quality with automation and simpler operation, while lowering running costs. Roland DG is also expanding TR3 eco-solvent ink across the TrueVis range to improve color accuracy for sign applications.
TrueVis Improves Image Quality
The TrueVis VG4 Series uses precise ink droplet control and color processing to produce sharper detail, smoother gradients, and consistent color output.
With the launch, Roland DG is introducing Red and Light Black TR3 inks for both the TrueVis VG4 Series and the TrueVis XG-640. These additions improve brand color matching, mid-tone range, and neutral gray reproduction. Existing ink options, including Orange, Green, Light Cyan, Light Magenta, and White, remain available for applications such as signage, posters, vehicle wraps, window graphics, labels, and decals. White ink delivers higher density and faster output for layered and backlit graphics.
Workflow Tools for Print and Cut Operations
The TrueVis VG4 Series includes workflow updates that reduce setup time and simplify daily operation. Users can start print jobs from the printer control panel instead of returning to a RIP workstation. With Roland DG Connect, operators can prepare output, check job status, and start prints remotely. The TrueVis VG4 Series ships with VersaWorks 7 for Windows and macOS, adding faster processing, native PDF 2.0 support, color tools, and variable data printing.
VersaWorks 7 helps maintain consistent output across complex jobs while simplifying color matching and media profile setup. Operators can store media presets and recall them as needed for repeatable results.
The TrueVis VG4 Series also includes a take-up unit and perforation sheet cut function to support long print-and-cut runs and reduce finishing time.
Lower Running Costs and Easier Maintenance
The updated print modes and improved ink use reduce ink consumption by up to 30% compared with competing devices. Users can replace key components themselves, reducing service downtime.
TR3 inks, compatible with the TrueVis VG4 Series and the TrueVis XG-640, are GBL-free and supplied in cardboard-based cartridges. Finished prints carry GREENGUARD Gold certification for indoor use in retail, hospitality, and public spaces.
“With the TrueVis VG4 Series, we’ve focused on delivering what matters most to sign makers today – outstanding image quality, predictable color, and a smarter, more efficient workflow,” said Ryugo Nimura, executive officer, global sales and marketing division, Roland DG. “Combined with our latest TR3 inks, VG4 empowers users to produce premium graphics with confidence, while keeping productivity high and running costs low.”
Roland DG Updates Brand and Launches New Identity
Roland DG introduced a new global brand identity alongside the launch of the TrueVis VG4 Series with TR3 inks, marking the first product release under the updated branding. The new identity reflects a shift toward offering integrated print workflows that combine hardware, supplies, software, and service. Roland DG also noted its focus on engineering and reliability as part of the transition.
The new message, “Make Your Mark,” highlights the role of Roland DG technology in supporting creative and production work. As part of the update, the company introduced a revised visual style, updated brand voice, and a new brand video, along with consistent branding across its product lines.
Roland DG has rolled out the new identity across its digital channels and is presenting it at industry events, including ISA Expo in Orlando, Florida from April 8-10 and FESPA in Barcelona, Spain from May 19-22, 2026.
