IRVINE, CA, Feb 19, 2026 – Roland DGA has launched a UV Direct-to-Film (DTF) system that includes updated media designed to support shop workflows. The release increases productivity and flexibility for print operations.

Roland DGA has introduced a UV DTF system that pairs UV-DTFA print sheets with UV-DTFB transfer film for use with Roland DG VersaOBJECT MO series, VersaOBJECT CO-i series and VersaSTUDIO BD series UV flatbed printers. The UV-DTFA and UV-DTFB media improve dimensional stability and reduce adhesive residue during transfer. Roland DGA states the configuration delivers adhesion up to two times higher than competing systems. The UV-DTFB film uses layered construction to improve the DTF transfer process.

The new UV DTF transfer system works with V-BOND inks (compatible with VersaOBJECT flatbed printers) to improve color performance, durability and adhesion. The workflow prints graphics onto transfer media before applying them to a range of objects. Precise dot placement and fewer print layers support image reproduction on surfaces that cannot be printed directly. VersaSTUDIO BD-8 and BD-12 desktop UV printers also support the UV DTF transfer process when used with Roland DG’s ECO-UV 5 inks.

The Roland DGA UV DTF system prints UV graphics onto transfer sheets for manual application to three-dimensional objects, including oversized and irregular surfaces. Users position transfer film over the printed image, apply light pressure and peel away the sheet to leave UV ink adhered to the object. The transferred graphics are scratch resistant and have undergone dishwasher testing on glass substrates. Print providers can perform the UV DTF transfer process for clients or supply pre-printed transfer sheets for customer application.

“UV DTF printing is an ideal solution for retail operations, small businesses, and print providers who want to increase the value and appeal of just about anything by adding eye-catching graphics,” said Roland DGA’s UV printer product manager, Philip Chu. “The introduction of our new print sheets and transfer film further improve the overall performance of the Roland DGA UV DTF System, allowing for faster production, the customization of a wider range of substrates, and even greater adhesion.”

The UV-DTFA print sheets are available in boxes of 25 A3 (11.7” x 16.5”) sheets. The UV-DTFB transfer film is available in 12.2” x 82” rolls. The items can be purchased through authorized Roland DGA dealers or at the Roland DGA online store.
