FORT WORTH, TX, June 27, 2025 – RS has earned 2025 Top 100 North American Inspiring Workplaces Award for putting people first in terms of culture and purpose, leadership, wellbeing, inclusion, communications, and the employee experience. This year, RS ranked 67 among the top 100 companies.

The Inspiring Workplaces Awards recognize organizations annually across industries for building workplaces that prioritize employee wellbeing, inclusion, and engagement. Rankings are based on evaluations by an independent judging panel across eight regions: Global, North America, U.K. and Ireland, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Australasia, Asia, and Latin America.

RS was first honored by Inspiring Workplaces in 2022, earning a ranking of 33 in what was then the Top 50 Inspiring Workplaces in North America Award. Inspiring Workplaces began doubling its honorees in 2024, when RS earned both a Top 100 North American Inspiring Workplaces Award and a Top 100 Global Inspiring Workplaces Award.

“Being named as a Top Inspiring Workplace in North America is a significant achievement for any organization,” said Matt Manners, CEO and founder at Inspiring Workplaces. “It not only acknowledges the company’s commitment to creating a positive and inspiring culture people believe in; it also helps attract and retain top talent, boost morale, and enhance your reputation.”

“Our organization’s purpose is clear and powerful: to make amazing happen for a better world. This isn’t just a statement,” said D’Mar Phillips, vice president of people and culture at RS Americas. “It’s the heartbeat of our culture and the compass that guides everything we do. Our values are more than words on a wall; they’re our foundation: We are one team, we deliver brilliantly, we do the right thing, and we make every day better.”

“RS champions authenticity, inclusivity, and honest, effective communication,” he continued. “We invest deeply in the holistic wellbeing of our people, empower leadership at every level, and continuously seek ways to improve and innovate. This commitment to excellence is what energizes our team and drives our success.

“Being named one of the Top 100 North American Inspiring Workplaces of 2025 is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the incredible people who make RS what it is. But we’re not stopping here. We’re doubling down on our people-first initiatives, expanding our inclusive culture, and pushing forward to create even more positive change.”

RS earned the 2025 North American Inspiring Workplaces Award and #67 ranking based on its priorities, initiatives, and achievements in six categories, including:

Culture and purpose. RS fosters an inclusive, people-first culture that accentuates collaboration, mutual respect, and accountability. Employees are encouraged to consider the impact of their work on colleagues, customers, suppliers, and communities, while seeking diverse perspectives and identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. The culture supports adaptability and a focus on meeting customer needs through shared responsibility and purposeful teamwork.

Leadership. The RS Amazing Leadership framework focuses on improvement, trust, communication, professional development, and business growth. Leaders form various teams with matching skills to address challenges and improve customer outcomes. They establish expectations, set challenging goals, monitor performance and maintain accountability. They encourage experimentation and a “fail fast, fail forward” approach. Leaders use pulse surveys and town halls to assess engagement and share information about wellness resources, including the Employee Resource Program.

RS Leadership offers a master’s program with both virtual and in-person master classes. Participants take part in coaching sessions and receive support to create personal development plans. The program also matches participants with mentors. Those in the program can connect with other professionals, meet with the executive team, and learn skills to support change at a global level.

Wellbeing. RS realizes wellbeing as a combination of physical, financial, and mental health, along with connection, purpose, and safety. The company supports employees both from personal and professional fronts. Staff are encouraged to take walking and stretching breaks during the day. RS provides access to the Calm mindfulness app. Employees with health insurance can also use Hinge Health exercise programs, TalkSpace and Ginger mental health care professionals. RS offers flexible options like hybrid work and four-day workweeks. Employees meet with managers to talk about goals and career development. RS arranges financial education sessions and matches 401k contributions up to 6%. New hires can join a buddy program. The company has a safety committee and an environmental, health, and safety manager to address workplace safety and health.

Inclusion. RS supports a workplace where everyone can be themselves without fear or hesitation. The company is increasing diversity in its leadership to reflect its customers, suppliers, and communities. RS works to create a workplace where people feel welcome, motivated, and safe to do their best. RS partners with myGwork to expand LGBTQ+ hiring and backs employee resource groups like Bloomers for early career employees, SPECTRUM for LGBTQ+ employees, Elevate for women employees, EmbRACE for employees with diverse ethnicities, races, and cultures, and LifeWorks for employees interested in mental, physical, or financial health. RS also supports educational events for mental health awareness month, pride month, and black history month, and has earned recognition on the human rights council’s corporate equality index for the last three years, including a 100/100 score in 2024.

Communications. RS adopts communication practices that help employees understand the company’s purpose, values, and strategy, along with their roles in achieving them. Tools like Slido enable employees to submit questions during events such as town halls, supporting clearer and more direct communication. Attendance at these events has increased due to the use of optional calendar invites and concise emails that focus on key information.

RS collects employee feedback through targeted sentiment surveys, coffee chats with senior leaders, focus groups, and town halls. Peer-led department sessions are used to facilitate open discussions on improvements. Employees can also raise concerns through sessions with the VP of People or submit questions at any time via the AskUsAnything email. Additionally, RS works with executive sponsors from each employee resource group to support feedback-driven changes.

RS communicates with warehouse employees through Town Halls scheduled across shifts and routine team meetings at shift start. Information is shared using digital screens, and a phone stipend supports use of the RS texting app.

The employee experience. RS provides development opportunities through mentorship, personalized growth plans, and access to WorkForce Edge for certifications and academic programs. Employees can participate in training on topics such as AI and receive recognition through formal programs, including acknowledgments and financial incentives. RS also offers two paid volunteer days, organizes events like the Giving Fair to connect with charities, and holds an annual Breast Cancer Walk to support awareness and participation.
