ARLINGTON, VA, Sep 16, 2026 – RTX named Jill Albertelli president of Pratt & Whitney, effective Jan. 1, 2027. She succeeds Shane Eddy, who retires.
Albertelli reports to RTX chairman and chief executive officer Chris Calio. She moves to the post from Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines, where she served as president. In that role, she secured Pratt & Whitney’s sole-source F-35 propulsion role, improved F135 engine deliveries and quality, and expanded sustainment capabilities and capacity for military customers.
“Jill is a seasoned and highly respected leader with over three decades of experience across nearly every corner of Pratt & Whitney,” said Calio. “Her proven track record and deep understanding of the business and our customer base make her the right person to lead Pratt & Whitney into the future.”
Albertelli’s experience covers engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, supply chain management, commercial programs, sales, maintenance repair operations, and transformation and strategy. Albertelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Eddy retires after more than 40 years with the company, a career that took him from flight line mechanic to president of Pratt & Whitney. He will remain through March 2027 as a special advisor to support the transition. As president, he guided Pratt & Whitney through a multi-year transformation effort, along with the production and sustainment ramp for the Geared Turbo Fan and F135 engines.
