Sandvik to Acquire ThoroughTec Simulation

Mining unit adds OEM agnostic training simulators to strengthen aftermarket services and operator safety

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb 13, 2026 – Sandvik has signed an agreement to acquire ThoroughTec Simulation (ThoroughTec). ThoroughTec will be reported in Parts and Services, a division in the Mining business area.

ThoroughTec develops OEM-agnostic training simulators and provides a training management system for mining customers. The tools strengthen productivity and operator safety and reduce equipment maintenance costs. Combined with Sandvik’s digital solutions, the simulators will enable data-driven, customized operator training programs based on real machine performance insights.
