Sarla Aviation Selects Siemens Xcelerator for eVTOL Development

PLANO, TX, Aug 6, 2026 – Sarla Aviation has adopted the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio for the design, simulation, electrical-system development, application development and lifecycle management of its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The company plans to launch urban air mobility operations in Bengaluru by 2028.

The software environment connects product design, simulation and lifecycle management in a digital thread. It covers product data, requirements, traceability, verification and validation activities used in aircraft certification.

Sarla Aviation is using Designcenter for product engineering from concept development through detailed design. Simcenter supports simulation and performance validation, including work intended to reduce physical testing. Capital supports electrical-system design for the aircraft’s battery management, power distribution and avionics in eVTOL systems. Polarion supports application development, certification requirements and DO-178C compliance. Teamcenter manages product data and supports collaboration and traceability across design, simulation and manufacturing.
