Schneider Electric Appoints Leaders for Industrial Automation, Europe Ops

Two new executives will lead industrial automation and Europe operations, advancing digital transformation, sustainability, and efficiency initiatives across manufacturing and energy management sectors

RUEIL-MALMAISON, France, Oct 10, 2025 – Schneider Electric has appointed two new executives effective Oct. 1, 2025. Gwenaelle Avice Huet will become executive vice president of Industrial Automation, and Laurent Bataille will take over as executive vice president of Europe Operations.

Gwenaelle Avice Huet has led Schneider Electric’s Europe operations since 2023, overseeing the regional business portfolio and supporting the company’s sustainability and digital transformation initiatives.

She joined Schneider Electric in 2021 as chief strategy and sustainability officer after holding senior leadership roles at ENGIE, including CEO of ENGIE North America and executive vice president of the global renewables business.

In her new position, Gwenaelle will remain on Schneider Electric’s executive committee and lead automation and control solutions that apply AI, IoT, digital tools, machinery, and software to improve industrial efficiency.

Laurent Bataille has been executive vice president of Schneider Electric’s France operations since 2021 and has more than 20 years of experience with the company. His previous roles include leading the digital energy division, the Ecobuilding division and the solar business, as well as serving as vice president for industrial and aerospace activities in the customer sensors & technologies unit.

In his new role, Laurent will remain on the executive committee and oversee Schneider Electric’s transformation initiatives across Europe.
