Sensirion has released the SEN62 environmental sensing module, which measures particulate matter, humidity, and temperature in a single unit. The design integrates sensing and data processing to support air quality monitoring in devices such as HVAC systems, air purifiers, and smart home equipment. SEN62 is available through the company’s global channel partner network.
SEN62 is part of the SEN6x family and combines sensing and data processing in a single unit. It provides factory-calibrated outputs and includes embedded algorithms that process measurement data. These functions allow device manufacturers to integrate air quality sensing without building separate processing routines.
The module supports monitoring particulate matter (PM), humidity and temperature (RH/T). Its internal algorithms handle signal processing and generate output data for system integration. This setup reduces engineering effort during development and allows manufacturers to focus on device design and features.

The SEN62 is used in air purifiers, HVAC systems, smart home devices, and air quality monitors. It supports applications that align with RESET and the WELL Building Standard for indoor air quality. The SEN6x platform is based on Sensirion’s SPS6x MEMS particulate matter sensing component, which provides the core measurement function in a compact design and supports integration across multiple device types.
“The SEN62 serves as the entry-level product within our SEN6x platform by offering a compact and highly reliable solution for PM and RH/T measurements. Its simple integration and ready-to-use output data help accelerate product development and support businesses in delivering high-performance air quality solutions,” says David Carminati, product manager for particulate matter sensors & environmental nodes at Sensirion.
