PLANO, TX, July 16, 2026 – Siemens Cre8Ventures and Cloudberry VC have launched a collaboration to help European startups and university spin-outs move from early-stage research to industrial deployment. Siemens Cre8Ventures brings industrial validation and customer access, while Cloudberry VC contributes venture capital expertise in semiconductors, photonics and advanced materials.
The collaboration gives startups access to Siemens‘ collaborative venturing model, which spans three stages: proof-of-technology, proof-of-concept and proof-of-value. Through this process, startups gain visibility into industrial validation pathways.
The focus spans emerging innovation across semiconductors, photonics, robotics, AI hardware, sensing and autonomous systems. For Siemens’ customers, the collaboration provides access to these technologies along with validation pathways and engagement with deep-tech startups.
The collaboration is non-exclusive and involves no equity investment or ownership structure between the two organizations. It centers on industrial validation and improving startup access to customers and markets.
“By collaborating more closely across the deep-tech ecosystem, we help bring innovation closer to industrial reality,” said Geoff Lee, vice president Europe, Middle East & Africa, Siemens EDA, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “This collaboration connects emerging companies with Digital Twin validation, engineering environments and potential customers, helping to accelerate their path to value.”
“Our specialization in semiconductors, photonics and advanced materials lets us go deeper with founders and connect them directly to industry,” said René Kromhof, founding partner, Cloudberry VC. “This collaboration with Siemens Cre8Ventures helps accelerate and de-risk their path to scale.”
