HANNOVER, Germany, Apr 22, 2026 – Siemens is investing more than 1.3 billion pesos to expand its operations in Querétaro, Mexico, adding about 300 jobs and increasing output of industrial electrification equipment. Combined with an investment of more than 1.8 billion pesos, Siemens’ total investment in the state exceeds 3 billion pesos over the past year.

The announcement was made at Hannover Messe, in the presence of Stephan May, CEO of electrification and automation at Siemens AG; Alejandro Preinfalk, CEO of Siemens Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean; Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, secretary of sustainable development for the state of Querétaro; and Felipe Fernando Macías, Mayor of Querétaro.

The expansion will increase output and adjust production processes to meet regional demand. It includes changes to reduce lead times and lower emissions in manufacturing operations.

“Querétaro has become a key pillar for Siemens globally. This investment not only expands our production capacity, but also strengthens our position to support our customers in their transition toward more digital, sustainable, and resilient industries,” said Alejandro Preinfalk, CEO of Siemens Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

Siemens has operated in Querétaro for nearly four decades, where it manufactures panels and control systems for medium- and low-voltage applications used in automotive, food and beverage, and energy infrastructure sectors. The site also includes engineering, research, and development activities focused on electrical systems, supporting both product design and manufacturing functions.

The investment expands capacity to serve regional markets and supports industrial and energy projects. The Querétaro site remains a key location for Siemens’ manufacturing and engineering operations in the region.
