WASHINGTON, DC, Aug 12, 2026 – Siemens will invest more than $200 million in two U.S. facilities: a 550,000-sq.-ft. electrical equipment plant in Pendergrass, Georgia, and a 96,000-sq.-ft. testing and warehousing site in Grand Prairie, Texas. The projects will add capacity for low-voltage data center equipment and switchgear operations and create more than 1,500 jobs.
More than $185 million will go toward the Pendergrass plant, which will manufacture electrical products and systems for data centers supporting AI infrastructure and cloud computing. The two projects are in addition to the more than $1 billion Siemens invested in U.S. manufacturing during the past five years.

Kemp. “We are proud to support this next chapter of growth and look forward to the impact of these quality jobs on the Pendergrass community and the surrounding area.”
Siemens will spend $19 million on the Grand Prairie site. The facility will handle factory acceptance testing and warehousing for electrical products business. The operation will serve semiconductor, automotive, health care and infrastructure markets that require power systems.

Positions at the two sites will include fabrication, assembly, material handling, testing and engineering. According to Siemens, the jobs will not require four-year degrees. Hiring is scheduled to begin in Grand Prairie in late 2026 and in Pendergrass in 2027. The Georgia plant will be near Siemens’ existing electrical manufacturing operations in South Carolina and suppliers across the Southern United States.
“Georgia and Texas were a natural choice for our next manufacturing investments. These states offer strong business environments, access to a highly skilled workforce, and close proximity to our existing operations and supply chain network across the South,” said Barry Powell, North America president of the Siemens Electrical Products business unit. “Building these facilities strengthen our ability to serve customers more efficiently while expanding advanced manufacturing capacity in a region that is already home to many of the technicians, suppliers and industry expertise that support our business.”
Both facilities will be fully electrified from the start. The Pendergrass plant will use electric paint lines and energy management systems. Siemens has set a target of achieving net-zero carbon operations by 2030.
In Grand Prairie, Siemens is using software from its Digital Industries Software business for production planning. Technomatix’s 3D models are used to simulate production lines and plan layouts, logistics and workstations.
