Siemens Launches Asset Performance Advanced for Smart Buildings

ZUG, Switzerland, May 26, 2026 – Siemens Smart Infrastructure has launched Asset Performance Advanced, an AI-enabled managed building service that monitors HVAC systems and building automation devices to detect faults before alarms are triggered. The service combines predictive failure mode classification, advanced fault detection and diagnosis (FDD), AI-assisted recommendations and workflow routing to help facility teams prioritize maintenance work by comfort, energy use and uptime impact.

Asset Performance Advanced is built around three functions: predictive, prescriptive and workflow. It identifies root causes of performance issues, recommends corrective actions and routes tasks through standardized resolution playbooks, with support from Siemens Digital Service Centers.

The service connects issue detection with maintenance response through integrated workflows and recurring performance reviews. Siemens delivers these workflows through the Siemens Customer Interaction Portal, where prioritized issues can be assigned to the appropriate teams for action.

Siemens designed the service for healthcare, higher education and commercial real estate. Healthcare facilities can use it to detect issues early in operating rooms and patient care areas. Higher education institutions can monitor assets across campuses, while commercial real estate owners can use dashboards and reports to manage comfort consistency, meet energy and ESG targets, enhance both tenant satisfaction and asset value.

Traditional reactive maintenance can cost three to five times more than planned or predictive maintenance, often leading to emergency repairs, service disruptions and occupant dissatisfaction. Asset Performance Advanced moves beyond rule- and alarm-based monitoring by ranking issues according to their effect on comfort, energy performance and uptime.

The service expands Siemens’ automation services portfolio and is integrated within Building X. It also supports the shift toward autonomous building operations, where systems detect faults, recommend actions and coordinate execution through digital workflows.
