Siemens Names Markus Grabmeier CEO of Electrical Products

Smart Infrastructure appoints former executive with low-voltage, manufacturing, and East Asia operations experience

ZUG, Switzerland, June 3, 2026 – Siemens has appointed Markus Grabmeier chief executive officer (CEO) of its electrical products (EP) business unit at Smart Infrastructure, who has prior experience across low-voltage systems, global manufacturing, and China and East Asia operations. He succeeds Andreas Matthé, who will remain available as an adviser until retiring at the end of September 2026.

Grabmeier served on Alfanar’s executive management committee in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Before joining Alfanar, he spent almost 14 years at Siemens, where he began in management consulting and later moved into low-voltage and electrical products roles.

His Siemens career included positions as head of new business development, general manager of Siemens Electrical Apparatus Ltd. in Suzhou, China, and head of global manufacturing. From 2020 to 2023, Grabmeier served as executive vice president responsible for China and East Asia at Siemens Electrical Products, based in Shanghai.
