PLANO, TX, Sep 29, 2026 – Siemens has updated Simcenter Testlab with structural dynamics workflows, system noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) prediction, and virtual shaker testing. The updates also automate component model extraction and combine physical and virtual data for AI training.
“As products become more complex, engineering teams need to turn testing data into trusted insights,” said Bruno Massa, vice president, Simcenter Testing Solutions, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “The latest Simcenter Testlab updates help teams deliver results faster, validate earlier, and build the foundation for AI-driven testing.”
The updates cover five areas:
- Structural dynamics and NVH prediction: Simcenter Testlab Neo supports structural dynamics workflows from test setup through execution, including processes for nonexperts. Siemens reports efficiency gains of up to 35% across the structural dynamics process. System NVH prediction workflows combine component characterization with virtual prototyping, evaluating performance up to 60% faster before physical prototypes are built.

- Data preparation for AI: Simcenter Testlab combines data acquisition, analysis and management in one environment. Annotation and automation tools help engineers create structured, traceable datasets that retain test context for reuse. Engineers can supplement physical measurements with virtual data to train AI models.
- Virtual shaker testing: Aerospace and defense engineers can model complete test setups to prepare for shock, vibration, qualification and durability testing. Simulating scenarios before applying test levels allows teams to assess test conditions before exposing physical hardware to them.

- Automated component model extraction: A new capability automates the creation of reusable component models for system-level NVH analysis. The workflows use test-based inputs to characterize components across projects. Siemens describes the workflows as ISO-compliant but does not identify the applicable standard.
- License-free SCADAS tools: Simcenter Testlab Go and Simcenter SCADAS Go provide time data acquisition, monitoring and validation with Simcenter SCADAS hardware without software license fees. The tools require no license administration, dongles or network dependencies.
