PLANO, TX, Dec 2, 2025 – Siemens has updated its Simcenter X software, integrating simulation and optimization tools into a single cloud platform. The update provides engineers with access to computational fluid dynamics (CFD), system modeling, mechanical simulation, and multidisciplinary design analysis and optimization (MDAO).
Siemens has introduced Simcenter X Advanced, a cloud platform that unifies its multi-domain simulation tools in a data managed environment. The new release integrates Simcenter STAR-CCM+, Simcenter Amesim, Simcenter HEEDS, Simcenter 3D, and Simcenter Femap under a single license and token pool. The platform streamlines workflows, lowers IT overhead, and enables concurrent pre- and post-processing, flexible solvers, and shared capability access.
“Simcenter X Advanced is the next logical step in our strategic goal to democratize access to advanced multiphysics and optimization for our community of innovators and industry leaders,” said Jean-Claude Ercolanelli, senior vice president, simulation and test solutions, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “By unifying our multiphysics and optimization technologies and enhancing them with robust data management, collaboration capabilities, AI-driven guidance and design exploration, we’re empowering every engineer to accelerate innovation that matters, reduce complexity and make smarter decisions faster – anytime, anywhere.”
Consulting and analyst firm CIMdata is of the view that: “By combining well-established Simcenter modelers and solvers under a unified SaaS entitlement including Teamcenter X data management with embedded AI assistance, Siemens is expanding access to multidisciplinary simulation while enhancing its digital-thread and SaaS leadership across engineering fields.”
Engineers gain access to capabilities wherever and whenever they need them, with license management. Built-in data management is powered by Teamcenter X software for product lifecycle management (PLM).
Key Capabilities Available in Simcenter X
Centralized SaaS deployment: Customers retain desktop workflows, benefiting from cloud-managed entitlements, reducing onboarding time from days to minutes
Scalable collaboration: Every user has access to secure, traceable and scalable simulation data management and collaboration with Teamcenter X
AI-enhanced productivity: AI features include a chat for documentation support, and setup guidance. Optimization studies are boosted with AI-augmented design exploration techniques
CFD simulation with HPC and remote desktop: Enables instant, elastic compute and browser-based access to Simcenter STAR-CCM+ – no installs, flexible credit-based licensing
Simplified licensing and flexible multidomain access: Named-user licenses guarantee concurrent pre- and post-processing access, while floating tokens unlock solver capabilities across domains.
