NUREMBERG, Germany, Mar 17, 2026 – SINTRONES presented its ThermoSiphon Edge AI Computer and a compact Edge AI system at Embedded World 2026, focusing on on-device AI processing. Developed under IEC 62443-4-1 certified processes, the systems support industrial automation, transportation mobility, and military and defense use cases. Demonstrations included hazardous materials and weapon detection, showing how on-device inference improves response time and situational awareness in safety-sensitive environments.
Thermosiphon Edge AI Computer Uses Passive Cooling Design
At Embedded World 2026, SINTRONES presented the ThermoSiphon Edge AI Computer, ABOX-5221, which uses a phase-change cooling system to operate without fans or pumps in high-temperature environments. The self-circulating design reduces maintenance and supports AI inference during extended operating periods. The platform is intended for stationary deployments in industrial automation and military and defense applications, where thermal stability, system reliability, and continuous uptime are required.
Lightweight Edge AI System Targets Autonomous Mobility
SINTRONES also presented the IBOX-604-G2, an edge AI system weighing about 0.3kg, designed for autonomous mobility and mobile defense applications. Powered by NVIDIA Jetson platforms, the IBOX-604-G2 performs AI inference on autonomous vehicles, unmanned systems, and robotic platforms under size, weight, and power constraints. The IBOX-604-G2 processes sensor and vision data locally to enable real-time perception and decision-making for navigation, inspection, and onboard safety monitoring. Local AI processing reduces latency and supports operation in environments with limited or intermittent network connectivity.
IEC-Certified Cybersecurity and Ecosystem Collaboration
SINTRONES has certified its product development lifecycle to IEC 62443-4-1, setting a process for secure development in industrial automation and control systems. The certification covers how products are designed, developed, maintained, and supported, supporting OT cybersecurity and supply chain integrity.
SINTRONES also works with Qualcomm, integrating AI platforms such as Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ9 into its edge AI architecture and roadmap. Qualcomm’s platform and software support are used for edge AI deployment across industrial, transportation, and military and defense applications.
