KISTA, Sweden, May 26, 2026 – Sivers Semiconductors’ nomination committee has proposed a five-member board slate that adds finance, capital markets and international technology experience to the company’s leadership. The proposed board includes returning members Dr. Bami Bastani, Todd Thomson and Karin Raj, along with new nominees Joakim Nideborn and Helena Svancar.
Dr. Bastani and Thomson bring U.S. business experience from roles at GlobalFoundries, Bain & Company, GE Capital and Citigroup. Raj is currently CTO Europe at Nokia and has held technology leadership roles at deep-tech firms and companies like Ericsson.
“Sivers is fortunate to have such a strong board proposed by the Nomination Committee,” said Dr. Bami Bastani, Sivers chairman. “The addition of Helena and Joakim further elevates Sivers as a Swedish deep-tech company with global ambitions, focused on Photonics for AI Data Centers and mmWave for SATCOM, LiDAR, and advanced sensing capabilities.”
The two new nominees add experience to corporate governance, financial communication, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets.
Joakim Nideborn has worked as CFO at listed technology companies. His background includes business development, international expansion, corporate governance, financial communication, capital markets and investor relations. As vice chairman, Nideborn will oversee board-related engagement with customers, employees and investors in the Nordic region. The role gives the board a specific point of contact for regional stakeholder communication.
Helena Svancar has more than 20 years of international leadership experience in corporate strategy, corporate governance and scaling technology businesses. She has held senior roles at global corporations and financial institutions, with experience in cross-border M&A and capital markets.
Sivers also acknowledged Tomas Duffy, who is retiring, for his work as vice chairman and former chairman of the board. The company also recognized Erik Fallstrom, one of its founding investors, and Keith Halsey for their service.
