Spendflo Launches Flo AI for Mid-Market Procurement

by | May 15, 2026

Agents handle approvals, vendor agreements and invoices across existing ERP, finance and contract systems

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 15, 2026 – Spendflo launched Flo AI, an autonomous procurement workforce for mid-market companies that runs intake, approvals, vendor management, contract review, and accounts payable (AP) in one workflow. The launch targets procurement teams handling high volumes of requests, renewals, invoices, and vendor relationships without the infrastructure of larger enterprises.

Flo AI is designed for companies that have outgrown informal procurement processes but have not built the procurement operations used by enterprise organizations. These teams often rely on disconnected tools for intake, contracts, and accounts payable, leaving staff to move information between systems and stakeholders.

Flo includes three agents, each assigned to a procurement stage:

  • Flo Procure handles purchase requests from first submission to approved purchase order, routes requests, checks budgets and policies, collects vendor documentation, and moves approval workflows to completion. No need to wait for a procurement manager on the coordination,
  • Flo Contracts reads, redlines, and tracks vendor agreements. It identifies non-standard clauses, extracts key commercial terms, flags upcoming renewals, and uses previous contract activity in Spendflo to inform later reviews.
  • Flo AP matches incoming invoices against purchase orders and contracts, routes exceptions for human review, and processes payment. Because Flo AP shares context with the Flo Procure and Flo Contracts, it checks invoices against sourcing terms rather than only vendor submissions.

The three agents carry procurement context across the full lifecycle. Vendor data from Flo Procure informs contract review, while terms extracted by Flo Contracts guide invoice handling in Flo AP.

The Problem Flo AI was Built to Solve

Spendflo has processed more than $3.2 billion in spend across invoices, purchase orders, and contracts. The company said that data informs how Flo categorizes spend, identifies exceptions, and evaluates procurement patterns across industries and company sizes.

Siddharth Sridharan, CEO, Spendflo commented: “The companies we work with are not looking for more software to manage. They are looking for a procurement function that runs. Flo handles intake, approvals, contracts, and accounts payable. What remains for the procurement team is the work that actually requires their judgment: vendor strategy, commercial negotiation, and the decisions that move the business forward. We are starting to see a new kind of procurement professional emerge at these companies. Someone who thinks in systems, sets the strategy, and lets the agents execute. That is the direction this is heading.”

The Rise of the Procurement Engineer

Spendflo also introduced the procurement engineer role with the launch. The role covers agent configuration, workflow design, vendor strategy, policy setting, negotiations, vendor relationships, commercial strategy, and procurement systems oversight.

The company compared the procurement engineer role with the GTM engineer, a position that emerged as revenue teams adopted specialized go-to-market systems. Spendflo said procurement teams are moving toward a similar model, with smaller teams using agents to run coordination and process work.

Availability

Flo AI is available now for mid-market companies with $50 million to $1 billion in revenue. It connects to existing ERP, finance, and contract infrastructure without requiring organizations to replace current systems.
