Stellantis Appoints Joao Laranjo as Chief Financial Officer

A new CFO takes charge with 20 years in finance across global industries, bringing sharp financial discipline, strong sector knowledge, and a focus on driving sustainable long-term growth.

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Sep 30, 2025 – Joao Laranjo has been appointed chief financial officer (CFO) and joins the Stellantis leadership team, succeeding Doug Ostermann, who has resigned from the company. Stellantis confirmed the leadership change in its announcement.

Laranjo has more than 20 years of experience in finance and auditing across multiple markets, including that of in the automotive sector. He joined Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) in 2009 and has since held senior roles in financial controlling, reporting, profit and loss management, treasury, planning and analysis, compliance, and accounting.

Laranjo began his career at General Electric in 2001 as an associate auditor and later became controller for GE Healthcare in South America. He joined FCA in 2009 as chief accounting officer for Latin America and later served as chief financial officer for the region, overseeing financial overhaul and growth. In 2017, he was named chief financial officer of Stellantis North America. He moved to Goodyear in 2024 as vice president of finance before rejoining Stellantis this year as CFO of Stellantis North America.

Laranjo holds an MBA from IBMEC in Brazil and is a graduate of the Advanced Finance Program at The Wharton School.
