MINNETONKA, MN, REHOVOT, Israel and ORLANDO, FL, Aug 20, 2026 – Stratasys and Limbitless Solutions announced the expansion of a 12-year collaboration that has helped deliver 3D-printed prosthetic devices to children across the U.S. and beyond. The partnership will focus on sustainability, education, and access to 3D-printed prosthetics.

Stratasys has supported Limbitless since 2014 with materials, additive manufacturing technology, and engineering expertise. Limbitless uses Stratasys machines to produce end-use prosthetic components, 3D-printed molds for thermoformed cosmetic elements, and prototypes developed before injection-molded production.

The collaboration also includes a Limbitless lab at the University of Central Florida equipped with multiple Stratasys systems. Students use the printers to build devices and develop engineering skills.

In 2026, Stratasys donated one certified pre-owned (CPO) F370 3D printer to support Limbitless operations, student education, and community outreach. Stratasys’ CPO program extends the life of additive manufacturing equipment through factory-certified refurbishment and redeployment.

“This long-standing partnership reflects the best of what Stratasys has to offer,” said Rosa Coblens, VP sustainability & communications at Stratasys. “Through our Mindful Manufacturing™ approach, we are advancing sustainability while supporting meaningful social impact. By reconditioning high-performing equipment through our Certified Pre-Owned program, we not only reduce waste but also enable purpose-driven organizations like Limbitless to extend their reach and empower more lives.”

“Stratasys has been with us since day one,” said Albert Manero, PhD, executive director and co-founder of Limbitless Solutions. “What started as a short phone call while I was in graduate school turned into a decade-long partnership that shows how additive manufacturing can create a tangible impact for the children we serve and the future engineers and designers working to build a more accessible world.”

About Limbitless Solutions

Limbitless Solutions is a nonprofit organization at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Founded in 2014, it designs and distributes 3D-printed, electromyography-powered prosthetic arms through clinical trials. The arms use muscle signals to control multiple hand gestures. Limbitless also develops Project Xavier, a hands-free wheelchair-control system, video games and training tools for prosthetic users. Its programs serve children and adults with limb differences, including clinical trial participants. The organization works with hospitals on clinical studies and provides UCF students with internships and lab positions. Its teams manufacture, assemble, repair and test prosthetic arms, and develop electrical systems, software, websites and mobile applications. Limbitless also conducts outreach and accessibility education programs.
