TEL AVIV, Israel, Aug 25, 2026 – Swish Basket has raised $3.2 million in pre-seed funding and opened its seed round, backing an AI sensor that mounts above the hoop and tracks shots with cameras and lidar. Aristagora VC led the pre-seed and holds a board seat, with participation from Peter Kadas, Nika Capital, and RGE Group.

The funding will support Swish’s first commercial installations internationally, expansion of its sensor and AI engineering team, and launch of US marketing and community building. The announcement follows Swish’s selection into the NBA Launchpad 2026 Program in January. The NBA is a Swish partner.

The sensor tracks every shot for accuracy, arc, and mechanics and returns instant feedback, with no wearables and no setup. The system uses facial recognition to identify players, and the Swish app links each shot to a “Digital Player Profile” that logs on-court sessions. The AI syncs every shot to the correct profile, so any number of players can shoot at one hoop at once. All shots rank on a single global skill leaderboard.

In a recent US deployment, Swish powered a multi-hoop tournament. Teams competed head-to-head, each shooting on its own hoop, with results ranked on one live leaderboard.

“We are building the connected layer basketball has never had,” said Joel Bar-El, co-founder and CEO of Swish Basket. “Technology has finally reached the point where every court, anywhere, can play as one. This funding lets us put Swish on courts across the world and give every player a way to measure, compete, and be seen. Because all of Swish’s processing runs on the sensor rather than in the cloud, the platform is built to reach tens of thousands of courts at low cost.”

Swish has deployed in five locations across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Hundreds of players have used the system, and thousands of shots have been tracked. NBA Hall of Famer Mitch Richmond has demonstrated the platform onstage.

“We backed Swish because it brings proven computer-vision expertise to a corner of sport that has never had a connected data layer,” said Anat Tila Cherni, co-founder and managing partner of Aristagora VC. “This team has built category-defining technology before, and the early traction across multiple markets shows the same pattern taking shape. We are proud to lead this round and back Swish as it scales.”

About Swish Basket

Swish Basket was founded in 2025 by Joel Bar-El, who previously built Trax. Swish Basket makes a basketball sensor and mobile app that track shooting performance. The sensor mounts above a backboard with a telescopic pole or installation kit. It uses LiDAR to measure shot accuracy, shot grouping, shooting arc and body posture. The app uses AI to process the measurements and provide performance data and feedback. Players can use the system during practice and games, compete in online shooting challenges, and enter tournaments. The system identifies subscribed players on a court and assigns shot data to their accounts. It can create video clips of made baskets. Swish Basket serves basketball players.
