QUAKERTOWN, PA, June 8, 2026 – Synergis Software released Adept Cloud, a cloud-native engineering document management system (DMS) for organizations where an incorrect drawing or document revision can affect safety, compliance and project execution. The browser-based SaaS system manages documentation for manufacturing, utilities, oil and gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and mining companies without local infrastructure, VPN access or customer-managed IT infrastructure.
Kristen Tomasic, president, Synergis Software said: “We built Adept Cloud because our customers told us where they needed to go – and we made a commitment to get them there. What we built isn’t just a cloud version of Adept. It’s a modern, cloud-native platform – architected for the security, reliability, and scalability that asset-intensive organizations require for the decade ahead. Adept Cloud is also where we’ll continue to innovate – AI is built in, with more to come. And as this platform evolves, it will serve as the foundation for on-premise deployments as well, ensuring every Adept customer has access to the same capabilities, regardless of how they choose to deploy. That’s what reaching this moment means to us – it’s a milestone for Synergis, and our customers get a platform they can grow with for years to come.”
Engineering Document Control
In asset-intensive industries, engineering teams need access to documents, controlled CAD relationships, protected intellectual property and traceable decisions. Adept Cloud provides those document control functions in an environment hosted, maintained and updated by Synergis.
Todd Cummings, vice president of product strategy, Synergis Software added: “The question we heard most from engineering organizations was whether a cloud EDMS could really handle the complexity of what they do. The CAD relationships, the controlled workflows, the audit requirements, the scale. Adept Cloud was built to answer that question with confidence. The answer is yes.”
Unlimited User Access
Every Adept Cloud plan, including Essentials, Professional and Enterprise, includes unlimited users. The model removes per-seat costs and access limits for engineers, field teams and plant-floor users.
Synergis hosted Adept Cloud webinar for customers on June 4. The company will hold an Adept Cloud introduction webinar for interested organizations on June 17.
Adept AI
Adept AI runs inside Adept Cloud and supports engineering teams working with large document repositories. The AI tools help users find information, process document-heavy work and use engineering data stored in the system.
Scott Lamond, vice president of marketing, Synergis Software commented: “Engineering information is one of the most valuable and underutilized assets in any industrial organization – critical context buried within tens or hundreds of thousands of documents, largely inaccessible. Adept AI changes that by putting intelligence to work at the platform layer – inside the system where the data already lives, with the governance and security that asset-intensive industries require.”
Cloud Onboarding
Adept Cloud is available now. New customers work with a customer success manager through an onboarding plan aligned with their Adept Cloud plan. Existing Adept customers can transition to Adept Cloud through a plan designed to limit disruption and maintain continuity.
Recognition and Customer Trust
Synergis Adept was named to G2’s 2026 Best Software Awards as the top-ranked engineering DMS. It also holds G2 distinctions for Best Support, Best Relationship and Highest User Adoption. 95% of verified G2 reviews are rated four or five stars.
