Titomic Tests Cold Spray Process for Lithium-Ion Electrodes

HUNTSVILLE, AL, Dec 4, 2025 – Titomic completed a hot fire test on a solid-rocket motor thrust chamber built with its Titomic Kinetic Fusion (TKF) technology. The test validates that cold spray additive manufacturing can build components for mission-critical aerospace and defense systems.

The thrust chamber, manufactured using Titomic’s cold spray process, completed hot fire testing under demanding conditions. The test confirmed the chamber’s strength and thermal performance, meeting requirements for aerospace and defense propulsion systems. The results demonstrate that cold spray manufacturing can produce metal components without high heat or melting.

The test supports TKF as a viable manufacturing technology for aerospace and defense sectors. The process enables large metal parts with shorter lead times and reduced waste, helping meet demand for propulsion and structural components and support flexible supply chains.

The hot fire test validates Titomic’s work for its aerospace and defense customer and supports possible use of cold spray technology in future programs. The result also demonstrates Titomic’s capacity for local manufacturing aligned with Department of Defense.
