Total Group, which includes Total Construction Supplies (Processing) and Reinforcement Solutions Ltd., plans to raise revenue to £100M as it expands support for construction, housing, transport and nuclear projects.

The  company has invested in more than 500,000 sq ft of manufacturing space across four sites. The facilities produce cut and bent rebars, standard reinforcement bar, meshes, column and piling cages and prefabricated structural elements.

The company is investing in its workforce and expanding its apprenticeship program. It has also reduced its carbon footprint to under 500 kg for the first time in its 27-year history.

“There is an unprecedented amount of infrastructure work taking place and both the government and the private sector are looking for domestic suppliers they can trust – this represents a massive opportunity for us,” explained Joseph Law, strategic development director at Total Group.

“Everything we have done in the past three years – from strengthening the senior management team to the opening of our £4m site in Cannock – has been completed to give us the foundations to target these new infrastructure opportunities and we believe we could quadruple revenues between now and the end of 2028.”

He continued: “We have a track record of delivering large, reinforced and prefabrication products for use in a nuclear submarine base, the Thames Tideway project, Bromford Tunnels on HS2 and at Hinkley Point. All delivered on time, within budget and sustainably, with health and safety a number one focus.”

“This makes us a trusted option for future works that are currently ramping up and, when you combine this with our manufacturing capacity and commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, we believe there is a £100m+ strong pipeline of projects we could deliver.”

Total Group supplies reinforcement products for large slabs, heavy loads and high-traffic infrastructure in warehouses, production plants and logistics hubs. Its facilities support both high-volume and custom precast components. The company focuses on strength, consistency and dimensional accuracy, and its finishing operations help components perform in demanding conditions.

Total Group will continue investing to support customers in the housing sector. It will also restructure manufacturing space to expand capacity for future infrastructure projects and continue providing rebar services, including cut and bent materials from 8 millimeters to 50 millimeters made from 98% recycled content.

“There’s no reason why we can’t produce 1000 tonnes of product every month, which would move us towards £100m annual revenues and potentially create in excess of 75 new jobs,” added Matthew Hague, who founded the group in 1998 with chief operating officer Craig Gibbons.

“We’ve seen with recent global news how important it is for the UK to be responsible for its own infrastructure and having access to a supply chain that can deliver the scale and complexity of these projects on time and to budget. This is where we come in.”

Total Group holds the ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 140001 (environment), ISO 45001 (health and safety) and BES 6001 (responsible sourcing) accreditations. Steel used in the manufacture of products is traceable and sourced from CARES-accredited steel suppliers. Through training and environmental initiatives, the company is planning to halve its carbon emissions by 2028.
