WESTMINSTER, CO, Mar 24, 2026 – Trimble and Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) expanded their collaboration to deliver Trimble Earthworks 3D grade control and Trimble WorksManager software to European customers through HCME’s dealer network. For the first time, Hitachi excavators from HCME can be ordered with factory-integrated Trimble Earthworks 3D functionality, combining grade control and site management through the OEM channel.
HCME will supply Trimble grade control systems for excavators to customers in Europe. The approach includes factory-installed systems and aftermarket support aligned with Hitachi Construction Machinery standards.
“Giving customers across Europe direct access to Hitachi excavators equipped with full Trimble Earthworks functionality offers additional flexibility in how construction companies can purchase, utilize and access training, service and support for Trimble technology,” said Scott Crozier, vice president, civil construction at Trimble. “We are fully committed to making it as easy as possible for contractors around the world to integrate Trimble technology into their workflows.”
Hitachi dealers in Europe will supply Trimble WorksManager alongside Earthworks functionality for excavators in Europe. Trimble WorksManager connects office and field operations and enables remote model transfer, device and machine management, and troubleshooting of operational issues.
“By collaborating with Trimble, we’re giving our European customers a seamless, dealer-backed path to precision construction, with the proven performance of Hitachi excavators,” said Francesco Quaranta, president and CEO at HCME. “Our focus is simple: faster setups, fewer reworks and better outcomes on every job.”
Availability
Hitachi excavators with Trimble Earthworks 3D grade control will begin delivery in select European countries in the second half of 2026. Availability and configuration details will be provided through regional Hitachi dealer networks.
