LAS VEGAS, NV, Nov 14, 2025 – Trimble announced the winners of the annual Construction Innovation Awards, which recognize North American customers using Trimble tools to improve construction workflows and project management.
Applicants in five award categories described how Trimble hardware and software supported design, 3D modeling, estimating, financial tracking, and daily operations. Many highlighted advantages from combining multiple Trimble systems to strengthen collaboration, share data, and increase efficiency. Six winners were chosen (including a tie in one category), along with five runners up. The announcement was made at the annual Trimble Dimensions User Conference.
Companies from commercial and civil sectors applied for the Trimble Construction Innovation Awards. Applicants reported better communication, improved workflow connectivity, and time savings, along with fewer errors and less rework. Results included cutting monthly financial close cycles from 12 days to five, reducing concrete use on a data center project by 20%, halving excavation time, and saving up to 10 hours per person each week through project management software.
The 2025 Trimble Construction Innovation Award Winners are:
Connected Construction – Klorman Construction, Woodland Hills, CA
Klorman Construction is a design-build contractor that self-performs work. Its award submission detailed how the company uses Trimble tools to manage project design and field operations. The workflow links Tekla Structures BIM software with Trimble Connect collaboration platform, ProjectSight for project management software, and Trimble robotic total stations. These tools help reduce RFIs, cut rework, and address constructability issues by supporting VDC teams, field crews, and trade partners. Klorman brings design, fabrication, and field tasks into a single digital workflow.
Connected Construction – JE Dunn, Kansas City, MO
JE Dunn is a contractor with offices in 26 U.S. locations. The company uses a connected Trimble stack to tighten building modeling and layout work. Its workflow utilizes Tekla, Trimble Connect, laser scanners, robotic total stations, FieldLink layout and scanning software, and SiteVision for field visualization. JE Dunn reported improvements in project status tracking, fewer layout errors, and efficient concrete pours. The company also said the workflow improves field accuracy and that targeted training strengthens staff skills.
Process Transformation – Central Builders, San Antonio, TX
Central Builders is a general contractor that handles remodels, expansions, and new construction. The company adopted a Trimble solution to link field operations, finance, and reporting. The setup uses Trimble Viewpoint Vista ERP and ProjectSight for project management. These tools replace manual steps and keep project data consistent across teams. Central Builders reported a 90% drop in manual data entry, real-time job cost reporting, and subcontractor payments processed 50% faster. The company also said data access reduced rework tied to outdated or missing documents by 35%.
Most Challenging Project – McCarthy, St. Louis, MO
McCarthy is a construction company with offices across the United States. The company deployed Trimble Connect as a common data environment for a wastewater treatment facility renovation that included 30 structures on a 40-acre site. The workflow combined Trimble Connect, Trimble Business Center, and SiteWorks software. These tools backed an as-built process that gave teams access to current information, reduce manual processes, and established a single data source.
Workforce Achievement – Dvorak, Baltimore, MD
Dvorak is a commercial and heavy electrical contractor. After adopting ProjectSight, project administrator Ellen Moore drove the creation of new workflows that meet the company’s project requirements from kickoff through closeout. Dvorak revised its internal processes using Trimble’s project management tools. The updates honed submittal tracking, tightened punch list management, access to visual project information and supported compliance. Moore is also leading implementation of “This Is How I Trimble” program to promote technology use and integrate the software into daily operations.
Best Tekla/BIM Project – Apex Structural Design, Alberta, Canada
Apex is a steel detailing, design, and BIM service provider. The company used Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect for a timber-steel project to meet constructability needs. The workflow enabled parametric modeling of custom connections and component modeling. It also provided project information, which strengthened coordination and communication among trades.
Runners up:
Trimble also recognized five companies as runners up. They include Yates Construction, Janotta & Herner, T.S. Raulston, PCL, and CAP Engineering.
