WESTMINSTER, CO, Sep 22, 2025 – Trimble has announced the availability of 2025i version of Tekla PowerFab, its steel fabrication management suite. The update adds improved production planning and forecasting, plus an integration with Trimble ProjectSight to support construction project management workflows. Tekla PowerFab also integrates with Trimble Viewpoint Vista for job cost tracking.

Together, these changes advance Trimble’s Connect & Scale strategy by linking products within an ecosystem.

Enhanced Production Planning, Scheduling and Forecasting

The new production planner functionality in the 2025i version of Tekla PowerFab builds on the improvements introduced in March of 2025 and includes additional features. Users can plan fabrication with accuracy due to the capability to split the execution of work packages across multiple weeks and locations. Additionally, longer-term forecasting is possible with the addition of future work packages. This allows users to assign jobs to the competent resources, based on the ability to create flexible conditions for every machine and workshop.

Trimble ProjectSight Software Integration for Project Management

The integration with Trimble ProjectSight allows fabricators to unify project environments and improve data flow. ProjectSight stores and manages project information, (drawings, RFIs, submittals, documents and images) and provides access through a mobile app. With the PowerFab connection, users can link fabrication job data, centralize communication of RFIs and submittals, and transfer shop drawings.

Closer Integration with Viewpoint Vista Automates Data Flow

The integration with Viewpoint Vista automates financial transactions from Tekla PowerFab, including purchase orders, receiving details, and inventory movements. This allows Viewpoint Vista to provide job cost details for materials on construction projects and support accounting and financial tracking. The integration is available on Trimble App Xchange, which connects third-party technology with both Trimble and non-Trimble tools.

“The latest enhancements to Tekla PowerFab are a great example of Trimble enabling our customers to share data and integrate workflows across construction projects and lifecycles,” said Ryan Vander Plaats, portfolio manager, fabrication at Trimble. “Enhanced planning and forecasting enable a smoother fabrication workflow. At the same time, stronger integrations with project and financial management applications can create more efficient financial settlement and give all stakeholders easier, real-time access to vital project information.”
