KARLSRUHE, Germany and ANAHEIM, CA, Sep 12, 2025 – Umovity is entering a new leadership phase as it positions for growth in the mobility technology sector. Andy Myers, currently chief financial officer (CFO), will become chief executive officer (CEO) effective Oct. 1, 2025, succeeding Christian U. Haas, who will step down after six years to join the advisory board. Myers has helped shape Umovity’s strategy and operations during his two years as CFO.  Prior to joining, he served as CFO of SUSE and McLaren. His experience across both software-led and hardware-driven businesses is expected to guide Umovity’s growth and industry consolidation.

“I am honored to take the role of CEO at Umovity”, said Andy Myers. “With its outstanding team and best-in-class software and hardware expertise, Umovity is uniquely positioned to deliver innovative solutions to our customers that improve safety, sustainability, and mobility worldwide.”

Christian U. Haas will remain in the advisory board. Since becoming CEO of PTV Group in 2019, Christian has led the transformation of the business into a cloud- and subscription-driven model. He led the transformative acquisitions of Econolite and Conundra, leading the foundation for creating two independent businesses: Umovity and PTV Logistics led by CEO Steven de Schrijver.

“Leading first PTV Group and then Umovity has been an extraordinary journey, and I am proud of what we have achieved together,” said Christian U. Haas. “I look forward to supporting Umovity’s long-term success in my new role on the Advisory Board.”

Abbas Mohaddes, chairman of the advisory board of Umovity, commented: “We are grateful for Christian’s leadership in helping to build Umovity into a leading global ITS platform and are very pleased to continue working with him on the Advisory Board. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Andy in his new role as CEO.
